NuGEN Technologies and Advanced Liquid Logic, the inventors of digital microfluidics technology, have an exclusive co-development and supply agreement under which Advanced Liquid Logic will provide its instrumentation, software and digital microfluidic cartridge technology to NuGEN for commercialization in research applications. NuGEN will develop methods and protocols for the Mondrian™ SP System for a range of genomic sample preparation solutions, enabling true walk away automation.

As part of the Ion Torrent developers' network, NuGEN Technologies has expanded the Encore NGS Library Systems family to include a range of new products for the Ion Personal Genome Machine™. Ion PGM™ customers can now order the NuGEN Encore® NGS Library Systems for Ion Torrent from the Ion Torrent webstore; these products are also available for purchase directly from NuGEN.

NuGEN Technologies and Caliper Life Sciences work together to develop and support automated methods for next generation sequencing sample preparation on Caliper's Sciclone® NGS Workstation. The collaboration enables researchers to leverage NuGEN's Ovation® and Encore®® reagent solutions on Caliper's liquid handling platforms to automate the processing of a wide range of sample types such as nucleic acids extracted from sorted cells, fine needle aspirates, Formalin-Fixed Paraffin-Embedded (FFPE) tissue, and other limited and compromised clinical samples.
